Jonathan Sklute aka Johnny Paycheck is a purveyor of good records. That isn’t just a saying, it’s true. The owner of one of the East Village’s best vinyl spots, Good Record NYC gets some shine this week in Big Ups. Founded in 2005, Good Records has been one of the go to spots for vinyl heads, DJs, producers and any one else who wants to get their vinyl fix of records from the 1950’s to the present. They don’t just sell records, they’re always buying, and stock a wide variety of Jazz, Soul, Funk, Rock, Disco, Rap< House plus records from Africa and Brazil and beyond. Besides being a great record shop owner, Jonathan is also the infamous Johnny Paycheck, of the Low Rider mix Impalaville. Seriously, a stone cold classic. Please get familiar. If you’re in NYC, then you must stop in and check out Good Records. You won’t be sorry. This is a real deal record shop with real deal vinyl. We’re happy to have Johnny here this week.
