Attention UK diggers and record nerds! This Saturday, November 2nd, KAT Records and No Fakin’ present 180 Proof Records founder, DJ, and music historian Amir at 2022NQ in Manchester. It will be the first time that Amir has graced the decks in 10 years in the Rainy City. Amir is known all over the world for his collaborations with Kon, his BBE releases, and now as a preservationist with his very own 180 Proof label, releasing long lost music from the Strata label and beyond. Support for this show are the No Fakin’ crew out of Liverpool, who have been instrumental in bringing Hip Hop pioneers to the UK and will be laying down a tasteful blend of Jazz, Soul, Disco, and House in between sets. A true musical educator and archivist, it is no doubt Amir will be digging deep to bring out some gems at this gig. So to all of our FMF United Kingdom family, if you’re out and about in Manchester this weekend, you’ll have to drop in and say hello to Amir and listen to some good music all around. So go check out two good friends of Flea Market Funk as they join forces to educate the masses with good music and keep you movin’ ’til the break of dawn.
